Recently we put the call out for members of the community who wanted to join the MissImp Exec – the group of people who collectively make MissImp’s activities happen, and generally keep a hand on the tiller.
We are delighted to announce that FOUR people have now joined the team:
- Josie has been playing characters for over a decade.
- Kathleen is a fan of the Dewey Decimal System.
- Rosanna enjoys wakeboarding and hand embroidery (though maybe not together).
- Stags seeks stages throughout the Midlands and beyond.
We warmly welcome them to the team, and look forward to collaborating with them on all kinds of exciting MissImp activities in 2023. You can read all about them, and see their lovely faces, on the updated Meet the Team page.
But farewell John…
Alas, at the same time, John has decided to step down from the Exec. Over the last two years or so he has put a huge amount of time and energy into MissImp, particularly in organising our Nottingham Comedy Festival programmes. He has also brought countless laughs and creative endeavours as the eponymous Larklord.
John summed up his time on the exec in his own words:
“I’ve loved being a part of the MissImp executive. Running Larklord during lockdown and the three Nottingham Comedy Festivals are some of the most fun I’ve ever had. Whilst I intend to be annoying MissImp for some time to come, I need a bit of a break. Maybe I’ll return, maybe I won’t, but thanks to all those whose been vital in keeping us going during the last few ridiculous years!”
We thank John profusely for his contributions, and wish him well in redirecting his energies into other projects over the coming months. We also look forward to watching his continuing improv journey as part of the MissImp Community.
