“Stuff Hits Different (AKA Rashomon)”, with Richard
Everyone tells their version of events differently. Stuff hits different for different folks. So we’re going to play with changing scenes and stories based on the point of view of characters.
For those cool film kids out there, we’ll play Rashomon, a game inspired by an Akira Kirosawa film about a samurai. According to Wikipedia “The Rashomon effect has been defined in a modern academic context as “the naming of an epistemological framework—or ways of thinking, knowing, and remembering—required for understanding complex and ambiguous situations”. According to the improv encyclopedia, it’s just genre roller-coaster without the genre. The improv one is more fun and there are better jokes.
