Virtual Improv Drop-In: Thursday 4 June 2020

Re-imagining the Virtual Space: Creativity and Connection Together, Apart, with TwinProv. In this session we’ll explore with duo Twinprov how you can make the online space the hero, rather than the problem. We look at how you can use physicality and objects to develop your playfulness and creativity, as well as how we can build stronger emotional connections in a virtual world.

Twinprov is a female improv duo that explores weird and wonderful characters in a very human way. Sometimes theatrical, sometimes absurd, always a journey of discovery…in matching dresses. They have performed/taught in places including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Amsterdam Improv Marathon, The Nursery Theatre, Global International Improv Symposium and for International Women’s Day events.

Julie Flower is a leadership and team development consultant, facilitator and coach who runs boutique consultancy The Specialist Generalist Ltd. She is also a (primarily) long-form improviser who trains and performs widely, including at international festivals. Julie is a member of duo Twinprov and London-based groups Improbotics (improv meets AI) and Classic Andy. She uses improvisation within organisations to explore the fun and fear of uncertainty.

Sarah Davies is a drama lecturer and producer, who also works as a playwright, and co-runs and coaches Improv Gym (resident at The Quarterhouse Theatre in Kent) and Loosely Woven Theatre. She performs with Improbotics, City Impro, Plus Support and Gym Pass, and during lockdown has enjoyed guesting (virtually!) with Jay Sukow, Extreme Improv, Improv Chattanooga and Improv After Party.

Hi There!

During the coronavirus outbreak, MissImp has continued to offer entirely free online activities for our community, including commissioning an ongoing series of paid virtual drop-ins from improvisers around the world, fortnightly online Gorilla Burger shows and more. If you’d like to help us keep these activities going and keep our lights on we’d be immensely grateful. Together, we can get through this.
