Oxjam Music Festival is taking over Beeston (and Chilwell) this Saturday 22nd October and MissImp have been drafted in to even up the balance with an afternoon of comedy!
I (Nick) am compereing the show from 2-5pm at Latino’s Restaurant on the High Street in Chilwell. We’ve got a whole bunch of splendid stand up comedians, comic musicians and we’ll be rounding it off with an hour-long improv show at the end. Fabulous entertainment!

So what’s this Oxjam thing then? Weeeeeell, it’s a massive event where Oxfam take over towns all nationwide and thrust mainly music at the public in return for a trifling contribution to whatever it is that Oxfam give money to. The tickets for the whole day are only £5 and the amazing thing is it gets you not only into the Latino’s comedy set, but into all the amazing music and spoken word events running for the rest of the day and night. Pretty kick ass. You can get your wristbands at Oxfam in Beeston, or buy them from Gigantic online (you can then swap your ticket for a wristband at all participating venues – sweeeet).
