This week’s jam: Traditional Games
This week’s jam is run by: Nick.
We’re going to focus on some of our short-form staples which we play a lot in shows, but not so much in jams. So we’ll be rotating through these fine classics:
- Alphabet Game
- Word at a Time Story
- Dubbing
- Scared Scriptless
- Shakespearean Scenes
A theme that unites these games is dependence on other people and the peculiar constraints (and freedoms) that each game provides. One of the ace things about short form games is that you have a lot of natural humour provided in the structure – what you bring to it by trusting to the structure and your scene partners it what makes these exceptional scenes.
We’ll draw names and games from a hat and play.
