Winter’s Over, It’s Gorilla Season
Well done everyone, you’ve survived the cruel winter of Nottingham, and now you can emerge, like a delicate flower and unfurl onto our lovely little stage, downstairs at the Malt Cross. Tiny theatrical bees will extract your comedy nectar and mix it into sweet, sweet improv comedy honey.
In actual, meaningful words… Come along and try your hand/head out at improvised comedy. Gorilla Burger is a super-chilled evening belowstairs at the Malt Cross, on the second Thursday each month. You’ll be invited to pop your name in a hat, and have it randomly drawn and teamed up with other humans to dance for your hive on stage (sorry, the bees are back) – you’ll do fun scenes and games, all of them with zero preparation! Exciting? Yes. All the while you’ll be applauded and encouraged by a room full of enthusiastic insects!
New to improvised comedy? No worries. We promise you’ll have a great time. Of course, you don’t have to perform! You can remain happily anonymous in the audience, settle back with a pint, and enjoy the show.
