Be Stuff Do Stuff
Can this puppy be trusted? How does the toaster feel? What would Tuesday say if she were a person? For this session we’ll be breaking out of standard human characters to see what playing other “stuff” can bring to scenes and interactions.
Ki is part of the Same Faces improv group in Leicester, performing in their short form shows since 2016 and their long form “Uncle Armando” show since it began in 2017. Long before she found improv she developed stagecraft and acting skills in youth theatre from age 9 – 18, something she has come back to in recent years by performing in Leicester’s 1448 theatre festival each year since 2014. Her most recent developments in improv are performing as part of a one-off ensemble at The Nursery in November 2018, and performing solo improv whenever she gets the chance. In her day job she manages a space related education programme and has a background as a scientist.
This is the third all-female improv workshop put on by MissImp!
These workshops are led by some of the most exciting female improvisers from our Nottingham community and beyond, and will focus on a specific area of improvisation unique to them.
Improv is the art of making up theatre and comedy on the spot, without any scripts or pre-planning.
We are always looking to encourage people to take on teaching roles within our community – if you would be interested in taking one (or part of) these workshops, please email us.
