MissImp Library
During this very weird time we’ll post books to your home! Get in touch!
The MissImp library is made up of books owned by members of our community, shared here to give other members of our community the opportunity to learn from and enjoy them.
All these books are private possessions and may be pulled from circulation at any time, for any reason. If a book loaned out through the MissImp library is damaged or defaced, we will ask the lender to provide a new copy of the book for the owner.
Find out how to borrow below
The list below shows which books are currently available or on loan.
If you’d like to borrow a title, or add yourself onto the waiting list if it’s already in use, fill in the book request form. We’ll contact the owner and find a convenient MissImp event to get the book to you.
- A book can be borrowed for up to four weeks
- You can only borrow one book at a time
- Look after the book! Return it in the same condition you received it
After that time, you must return the book to the book’s owner.
There are no fines, but you may not be allowed to borrow books in future if they are repeatedly returned late!
Thursday drop-ins and other MissImp events are good opportunities to lend and return books. They can be stashed in our cupboard and swapped on Thursdays even if folks can’t easily meet up.
We will only arrange lending of books between people we know and see regularly at MissImp drop-ins, workshops and rehearsals. Sorry!
If you would like to add any of your own books to the library, that would be ace!
Drop us a line here and we’ll add your books to the list.
We’ll contact you when someone wants to borrow your book and try to sort out a convenient time for you to lend it, or you can leave it at a Thursday drop-in and we’ll figure out how to pass it on!
It’s your call whether you regard a book as having been damaged or defaced. Reasonable wear is a bit subjective, but we don’t expect anyone to bend your book in half or scribble on it.
