MissImp's Weekly Improv Drop-In

Weekly Improv Drop-In: Montages Thursday 16 September 2021

This week is hosted by Dave Tuer

Montages

We spend a lot of time working on what to do in individual improv scenes. But how do we connect them together? In this jam we will be remembering / learning both how to move from one scene to another, and how to add to the scene in progress.

MissImp’s Weekly Improv Drop-In

We’ve run a weekly drop-in workshop for improvised comedy in Nottingham since 2005! Come and check it out – everyone’s welcome to join the fun.

The perfect intimate opportunity to practice some of our favourite improv games, and stretch out those improvising muscles. Each week features training in a different set of skills, exercises, scenes, or games, facilitated by various members of the Nottingham improv community.

  • 18+, and suitable for all levels of experience, with an emphasis on having a good time and improving everyone’s improvising experience.
  • Safety: Broadway Cinema has good ventilation in a nice, open space. We expect our attendees to be either: a) double-vaccinated, or b) in possession of a negative COVID test within 48 hours of this event. The safety of our participants is paramount. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell or cannot meet our safety requirements, especially if you’re experiencing any coronavirus symptoms.
  • MissImp’s code of conduct for participants applies to this event.

Following the drop-in, we intend to go for a drink at The Angel Microbrewery!

Hi There!

During the coronavirus outbreak, MissImp has continued to offer entirely free online activities for our community, including commissioning an ongoing series of paid virtual drop-ins from improvisers around the world, fortnightly online Gorilla Burger shows and more. If you’d like to help us keep these activities going and keep our lights on we’d be immensely grateful. Together, we can get through this.
