Listening is one of the most important skills in improv, but a scene of two people politely listening to one another won’t be very interesting to watch. We don’t respond to information neutrally in the real world so why would our characters?
This week we’ll be creating characters, checking in about our points of view during scenes, and focusing on responding truthfully as our characters. The relatable novelty that will ensue will show that how we say “yes” can be as helpful saying “and”.
