This week’s jam: Serve the Scene and Not Yourself

This week’s jam is brought to you by Lloydie.

We are going to look at how to make the scene you are in great by making moves that are selfless. That doesn’t mean you don’t have a character or a perspective, that doesn’t mean you hold back and wait for someone else to do something, it just means you use what you do to make the scene better as a whole. Whatever the scene needs – that’s what you do.

We will do exercises that focus our minds on what is happening and what our role is – and then we will do some amazing scenes.

Please be ready to listen and respond. Please be ready to be supportive to the ideas of others. Please be willing to try new things with enthusiasm because that’s vital to all of this working. That way leads to fun!

Hi There!

During the coronavirus outbreak, MissImp has continued to offer entirely free online activities for our community, including commissioning an ongoing series of paid virtual drop-ins from improvisers around the world, fortnightly online Gorilla Burger shows and more. If you’d like to help us keep these activities going and keep our lights on we’d be immensely grateful. Together, we can get through this.
