The Art of Jam – January 2011

Hello everyone! I hope you had a marvellous Christmas and New Year and are truly ready for kicking the arse out of improv in the cool new yule.
January’s a good month:
Jams
The jam resumes THIS WEEK! That’s right, we will be jamming on Thursday 6th Jan 7.30pm at the Art Organisation on Station Street in the usual manner.
However, there will be NO JAM THE WEEK AFTER (13th Jan) – that’s the week we’re getting some awesome workshops Thu/Fri/Sat. Those groups are already booked up (but need to be paid for – you know who you are!), but due to the numbers involved we can’t support a jam at the same time.
Never fear, ‘cos the jam’s back on in full force from the 20th January onwards (that’s a Steve week y’know).
Shows

MissImp in Action @ The Glee Club – Wednesday 12th January
Super-fast game playing with: Lloydie, Marilyn, Charlotte, Nick, Geoff and Steve
MissImp: The Future @ The Hopkinson Gallery (TAO Nottingham) – Friday 28th January
Cast unknown! Update soon from Steve.
Help needed
We need door, tech folk and assistants for both the January shows – volunteer please!

Promote the shows! Invite people you know using the Facebook events page or send ’em links from the website (like this post).

Future News

The monthly shows are both continuing with vigour!

At the end of February we’ll be hosting a joint show with Bangor University’s ImpSoc, hopefully at Glee on either the Sunday 27th or Monday 28th!

See you all soon!

Hi There!

During the coronavirus outbreak, MissImp has continued to offer entirely free online activities for our community, including commissioning an ongoing series of paid virtual drop-ins from improvisers around the world, fortnightly online Gorilla Burger shows and more. If you’d like to help us keep these activities going and keep our lights on we’d be immensely grateful. Together, we can get through this.
